Cisco Packet Tracer with Virtualbox I know there was a capability added to Packet Tracer 5 or 6 that allowed an external java app, PTBridge, to create bridges to virtual networks/VMs. I can't seem to find this utility for Windows.
- When enabled, VirtualBox connects to one of your installed network cards and exchanges network packets directly, circumventing your host operating system's network stack. Since your virtual machines are using eth0 directly, they are unaware of the tun0 interface to the tunnel running over it.
- A tool written to convert an IOS XRv (64-bit) ISO image to a Virtualbox image that can be brought up by vagrant. The tool creates the Virtualbox image, brings it up, configures XR and opernns Linux so that future uses of the box bring it up fully networked and ready to run. How to use this tool git clone this repo.
Now i test run Cisco CUCM, and can not run CUCM on VirtualBox 4.2.4r81684 ver. I found on this iddles.co.uk/blogs/index.php/2010/02/cisco-cucmcall-manager-running-on-suns-virtual-box/ recomend to added to virtual machine configuration xml file this following lines to it in the <ExtraData> </ExtraData> section:
- Code: Select allExpand viewCollapse view
<ExtraDataItem name='VBoxInternal/Devices/pcbios/0/Config/DmiBIOSVersion' value='6 '/>
<ExtraDataItem name='VBoxInternal/Devices/pcbios/0/Config/DmiSystemVendor' value='VMware'/>
<ExtraDataItem name='VBoxInternal/Devices/pcbios/0/Config/DmiBIOSVendor' value='Phoenix Technologies LTD'/>
<ExtraDataItem name='VBoxInternal/Devices/pcbios/0/Config/DmiSystemProduct' value='VMware Virtual Platform'/>
I am add this section on .vbox xml file and starting this VirtualBox virtual machine, this data is purged from xml (.vbox file), and CUCM can not check hardware and discharge installation.
I can run this installer on VmWare Player normal. How i masking my 4.2.4 Virtual Box to VmWare and can started installation?
VirtualBox now supports nested virtualization on Intel processors. In the past, this was only available on AMD processors. This opens up a whole range of applications with VirtualBox: You can run your GNS3 topologies on VirtualBox, you can nest hypervisors and have some fun. Great to see VirtualBox support for nested virtualization now available on both Intel and AMD processors.
These are the commands I used to enable nested Virtualization via the CLI:
Open a CMD prompt:
Use these commands:
cd C:Program FilesOracleVirtualBox
VBoxManage.exe list vms
VBoxManage.exe modifyvm “GNS3 VM” –nested-hw-virt on
